The most valuable asset within any community is the community itself – especially if those members are prepared to offer assistance and support to that community.
Community Flood wardens play a critical role in helping communities to prepare for and against the risk of potential flooding. Their local knowledge is key to both preventing flooding and also for minimising the impacts of flooding should and when it does occur.
Being a flood warden isn’t all about flooding; your role within the community is crucial for the wellbeing of all community members during other situations such as severe weather, providing valuable information to and from members ensuring your community keeps calm and carries on.
