Carnival Day Parade: 30th July 2017

Anyone who would like to know more about the Carnival or would like to join the Committee should come along, new faces and ideas are always welcome.

SUNDAY 23rd July:
Noon: March of the Pirates & Mermaids on the promenade as part of the BEACH HUT FESTIVAL
1pm at Meridale: 76th ANNUAL OPEN SHOW of the Sutton-on-Sea Horticultural Society
7pm at the Trusthorpe Annexe: FIRE SHOW & Crowning of the Carnival Queen 2017 Free Entry ~. BBQ & Licensed Bar

Monday 24th July : Shop Windows decorat ed for the week on the Carnival Theme
7-30pm at the Methodist Chapel: The Skegness Accordion Band 8pm at the Social Club: BINGO

Tuesday 25th July
7-30pm at the Bacchus: MUSICAL QUIZ NIGHT £3 including chip butties

Wednesday 26th July
11am ~ 4pm at the Bacchus: FUN DAY … Noon, 2pm & 4pm: Pig Racing 1pm: Tots to Teens Fancy Dress Contests 3pm: Gymkhana

Thursday 27th July
2 ~ 5pm at Marigold Cottage: OPEN GARDEN AFTERNOON £3 entry with cake & tea

Friday 28th July
7-15 ~ 9-15pm at Meridale: FAMILY DISCO

Saturday 29th July
9-30am on the beach: SANDCASTLE COMPETITION ending just after the high tide at 10-45am.
10am at Meridale & the Methodist Chapel: COFFEE MORNINGS followed by LUNCH Noon on the promenade:
2pm FUN RUNS No entry fee… simply turn up ~ in costume if you like ~ & run for the fun of it or obtain sponsorship for a charity of your choice! 2pm by the War Memorial:
3pm PAVEMENT ARTISTS at Meridale:
CREAM TEAS IN THE EVENING
THE ILLUMINATIONS IN MABLETHORPE

SUNDAY 30th July:
9am Boot Sale on King George Playing Field
9-30am Stalls put up in Cromer Avenue, in the Bacchus & on Marine Avenue Car Park
11am & 1pm in Cromer Avenue & then outside Waldo’s STREET ENTERTAINMENT
11am on the Field: Participants in the Parade begin assembling with Displays The Pavilion will be the Registration Point & there’s a licensed bar & BBQ there too!
12 noon THE TRANSFORMERS appear on the Promenade outside the Beach Bar

3pm THE CARIVAL PARADE sets off from the Playing Field going on a NEW ROUTE
York Road to Marine Avenue, then turning right up Park Road, right again into Grove Road and then left via the Trusthorpe Road, the High Street, Station Road and Broadway back to the Playing Field where the
Final Displays & announcement of the winners will take place.
4pm An Act of Worship at 4pm at the Methodist Chapel with refreshments and a Flower Festival.

THE PRESENTATION OF THE AWARDS will take place later that evening in the Social Club
